Mumbai. According to the American cybersecurity firm Cyble, the personal data of Indiabulls Group employees was leaked into the darknet by hackers on Wednesday. The leak came after a threat from Clop attackers, who threatened to reveal details on Tuesday if the group was unable to make a payment within 24 hours.
Contrary to the group’s statement on Tuesday, Wednesday’s data breach consists of sensitive personal information such as employee names, Aadhar cards, Pan cards, phone numbers, passport, driver’s license and personal addresses. Documents verified by ET.

According to the firm, along with the addresses of the property to which the loans were taken, the current addresses of the clients, along with their personal electronic IDs and mobile phone numbers, were also leaked. Ransomware operators have published a data packet (4.75 GB in size) that was in darknet.
In response to new ET requests for employee data breaches, a spokesperson for Indiabulls said: “We are currently analyzing the incident with a cyber-trail to limit its likelihood in the future. We have already introduced strong and tight access controls with cybersecurity in mind amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and have deployed world-class IT infrastructure tools and technologies to ensure cyber resilience and build a robust business structure.
